Hunt Day

At each Hunt Venue, you will be given breakfast before the hunt (a bacon buttie type breakfast - that is easy to eat while dressed in hunt attire!)and a stirrup cup. A Coffee Car will be at each hunt before we ride off as well as "urned" tea and coffee.

There will also be a "snack" following each hunt before you head off home again.

Sunday 2nd April 11am

Macraes Hunt - hosted by the McCone, Tisdall and O'Connell families

Breakfast will be from 9.45am. An unmounted stirrup cup will be held 10.40am with speeches and land owners thanks before the Hunt. This is big country, a bit of tussock and won't be too hard on horses.

Tuesday 4th April 11am

Black Rock Hunt - hosted by the Beattie family

Again breakfast and stirrup cup as above. This is rolling sheep and beef country, with a bit more hill than Sunday's property. It is very well sparred.

Thursday 6th April 12noon

Barewood, Pukerangi - hosted by Lonestar Farms - Marty and Nettie Deans

A later start due to having the Ball the evening prior. We will have a champagne breakfast from 10.30am on. We will have an unmounted stirrup cup and speeches at 11.40am. Following the hunt, we will have some thanks and special draws to complete the official part of the 140th Celebrations.

This is our Premier Hunting property, relatively flat but guaranteed good runs!!
